Putting People First: Highlighting our Champion Barb Neitman of Trillium Staffing

At Aclaimant, we're proud to partner with leaders who are dedicated to building a better and safer future for their organizations. In our latest Champion Carousel, we’re thrilled to feature Barb Neitman, an Injury Counselor at Trillium Staffing. As an Injury Counselor, Barb champions a human-first approach to safety, focusing her days on working directly with employees and celebrating their progress.

A New Opportunity in Safety

Barb’s journey into her current safety role began from within her own company. She initially started with Trillium in another position. However, in 2020, Trillium opened up the brand-new Injury Counselor position, and Barb embraced the opportunity.

A Rewarding Mission

When asked what she finds most rewarding about her job, Barb focuses entirely on the people. She finds it highly rewarding to work with individuals who have occupational injuries and see their progress firsthand. Specifically, she loves encouraging their progress as they work through their recovery with medical treatments and therapies for the specific injuries incurred.

This deep sense of care aligns perfectly with her company’s culture. According to Barb, what sets Trillium Staffing apart as an industry leader is its strong ethical foundation; she notes that they have "very good people at the top" of the organization who possess "very strong ethics".

The Aclaimant Advantage

In her role, efficiency is key so she can dedicate her time to the employees who need her. Barb’s favorite part of working with Aclaimant is how the information she enters builds out each person's unique story within the system. She appreciates that Aclaimant allows her team to avoid double data entry. Without doing any double entry, they can seamlessly submit Workers Comp claims and pull reports to access every piece of information quickly. By streamlining these tasks, Barb can keep her focus strictly on helping people.

Words to Live By

Barb’s professional dedication and empathy are guided by a famous quote from Maya Angelou:

"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better."
