Last week, Moderne Ventures, an early stage investor of companies in and around the real estate, insurance, finance, hospitality, and home services industries, announced seven new companies accepted into its 2020 Passport Program. At Aclaimant, we are proud to be part of that elite group. The Moderne Ventures Passport Program is a seven-month immersion program for later stage companies with annual revenues of $30 million or less. Each year, Moderne Ventures evaluates over 4,500 tech companies for participation in the Passport Program, which helps companies through education, exposure, and mentorship with over 700 corporations and executives from market leading companies.
Our CEO, David Wald, couldn’t be more excited for this recognition and opportunity. He says that Aclaimant was selected due to its unique applicability and traction in the verticals targeted by the Passport program, and the ability to create process efficiencies and meaningful improvements in cost of risk, claims, and insurance was attractive for the Moderne team. The team's unique composure, deep experience in the space, and endorsement from industry leaders solidified its position as a key member of this class. The Moderne Passport program provides Aclaimant unfettered access to some of the most innovative and leading companies in its target spaces, and allows Aclaimant to take its approach to the next level, with the guidance and leadership provided by the Moderne team.
The Passport Program began earlier in January with a two-day working session that was attended by David Wald and Alex Chilow (Aclaimant’s Head of Strategic Partnerships), and was followed by networking meetings held in conjunction with the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL, where Alex had the opportunity to meet with key executives in start of the mentoring process.
As we move through the program over the next seven months, we’ll continue to report back on new and exciting ideas and strategies that we develop through this great opportunity.
